Fibrex - the fiber from sugar beet

As Fibrex is derived from sugar beet and is produced after the sugar extraction - it is logical that Fibrex belongs in the product range of Danisco Sugar. Fibrex is produced in a separate plant located close to the sugar factory in Köpingebro, Sweden.

The Fibrex factory is in Koepingebro, outside Ystad in Southen Sweden. The factory was built 1986 in accordance with a patented and purely physical working process, which utilises steam, to produce and dry Fibrex under pressure from the specially selected and cut sugar beet.

The dried sugar beet is milled and packed thereafter with great care and with continuously high quality control. We use the assistance of HACCP, in order to supervise the production.

If Fibrex fits your application, there are different primary groups.
All versions are made from the same feedstock (sugarbeet that has had the sugar removed and the remainder dried) which is milled to different particle sizes. The finer grains appear to have a brighter colour which is a result of different refraction/reflection qualities of their physical particle size, however, it is the same unbleached sugar beet.

Fibrex is made of sugar beet grown on fields in southern Sweden. Sugar beet consists of 5 % cell membrane, 17 % sugar and 75 % water.
After the extraction of the sugar, the remaining pulp is dried according to a patented method with super heated steam under high pressure, thereafter we receive a safe, clean and natural quality product. No chemicals are used in production. Fibrex passes careful quality control. The work process is supervised continously, the quality of the manufactured product is checked regularly by the internal and independent external laboratories.
