RAHN's Christmas donation 2022
The year is coming to an end and, on behalf of the entire RAHN Group, we would like to wish you and your family a peaceful Christmas and a successful start to 2023.
As in the last two years, we will be supporting the Swiss project "there-for-trees" with the money saved by sending our Christmas cards electronically. "there-for-trees" combines reforestation with school education on the subject of climate change. Our donation will enable a further 600 trees to be planted in various locations.
About "there-for-trees"
The “there-for-trees” project helps school pupils in Switzerland develop their own tree-planting campaigns so they can put the right trees in the ground in the right places in their region. By running their own campaigns, pupils gain a better understanding of issues such as climate change, ecosystems, forests, biodiversity and sustainability.
With a donation of CHF 25, one tree can be planted.
To date, almost 6'500 trees have been planted and 640 students have participated in the project.
RAHN supports tree-planting campaign
Thanks to our committed sustainability team, RAHN staff had the chance to provide some hands-on support for one of these tree-planting sessions in November 2021. Two groups of volunteers each spent a half-day at the “Werkhof” in Wohlen (in the Canton of Aargau), which is responsible for maintaining public footpaths and green spaces, among other things. All in all, we put around 2'000 to 2'200 saplings in the ground!
